Hi Ladies,

Great show! I love listening to you two chat about life and kids. I am the mom of four children under age 6. I have two small comments about your breastfeeding show. Paige gave a great tip on helping with engorged breasts. What worked really well for me was using frozen cabbage leaves. I know it sounds odd, but there is an enzyme in cabbage that stops the production of breastmilk. I used to think it was one of those old wives tales, but it works. I put the frozen leaves on my breasts for 15 mins or so but not too long because it can actually stop your milk altogether.
On another note, horray! for you Paige for switching to cloth diapers. I love using them, although I do agree with you about using disposable when your out traveling. One great tip for those poopy diapers is a little thing called a mini shower. Here’s the website: www.minishower.com. It’s actually a bidet that you hook up to the toilet and use it to clean the diapers. It makes it a little easier. All the Best. God Bless.

Hey Heidi,
Thanks so much for the comments. I never heard of the cabbage thing. What a great tip! I will be sure to add that in my bag of tricks. Scary that you can stop milk production altogether, though. Where did you hear about this?
Thanks also for the cloth diaper support. I LOVE THEM. I need to invest in diaper doublers though. Holy wet bed, Batman! I’ll have you know that I ordered the minishower along with a diaperpail with the washable liner last week and I am waiting for their arrival today. Woo Hoo! I love the mail. You are so right about it though. My sister insisted on me getting it because there is just no better way to get the poopie off before sticking them in my new washer. YIKES. They really come clean and I am very pleased. Have a great day, Heidi and thanks for taking the time to write in.
